Our high-performance fans are specially designed for the requirements of a fire brigade. At the same time they are easy to handle and have perfect ergonomics. Versatile, innovative grip options allow an easy handling and lifting. The ergonomic handle provides a comfortable transport by larger and smaller personal. The fan can be easily and quickly adjusted upwards and downwards with the convenient foot-operated tilt-device for example to ventilate a basement from the top-level of the stairs. The ideal positioned rubber feet ensure perfect stability on each ground.

COMBUSTION ENGINE

High-performance fans with combustion engine are powerful and create a high air output, they are quickly ready to use and operate stand-alone. There is no electrical power supply or water supply necessary, making them optimal as first ventilation tool in the attack.

HIGH PERFORMANCE

The High-Perfromance Fans with the high-pressure concept are specially designed for a more compacted air-stream and for an ideal pressure build-up inside the building. The improved inflow and novel deflectors allow an optimized air flow and less power loss. A much higher efficiency is reached by the changed impeller design. The extended inclination range provides an optimum approaching flow of the ventilation opening.

The smallest ­possible compartment space is necessary because of optimized dimensions. An innovative material mix results in a lower total weight. The HP18 is the lightest fan in its class.

ELECTRIC MOTOR

Applicable inside / horizontal
There are no exhaust fumes created by electric driven fans, therefore they can be used inside buildings without any difficulty. In addition they can be operated in any possible position, as well horizontal to ventilate for example a manhole.
Silent
The full power is not needed in all operations. With a frequency controlled electric drive the air output can be adjusted to the specific requirements. With reduced speed the noise level can be lowered tremendously, up to 80% less noise.

HIGH PERFORMANCE

The High Performance Fans with electric drive are available with variable or single speed and are specially designed for the most effective ventilation of multi-story and complex structures, to compensate the pressure loss caused by staircases and long hallways.

The frequency controlled electric drives fulfil the EMC-regulations. The leakage current for mobile machines are according VDE-guidelines. The integrated interference filter allows operating the fans in the public power network.

SMOKE EJECTOR

The Smoke Ejector EBS 16 is a compact axial blower designed to be used for both positive pressure ventilation and negative pressure ventilation; a compact multiuse blower, powerful and reliable. With the optional adapters ventilation hoses can be mounted on the intake side and on the pressure side of the blower. We also provide the Smoke Ejector with explosion-proof components.

ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT

WATER MIST SYSTEM

The water mist prefix is suitable for each fan size. It is mounted quickly and easily by a magnet on the grille. The special nozzles produce a very fine water mist with an excellent heat absorbtion capacity, making it ideal for cooling or to hold down toxic gases and vapors.

CANOPY FOR AIR DEVIATION

The BIG – canopy for air deviation is intended to direct the airstream produced by a power blower to vertical direction (Positive Pressure Ventilation of canalisation via vertical access shafts, cellars, tanks etc.). Flexible aprons attached along the inner-sides of the lower part of hose frame prevent air leakages between the rims of vertical openings and the hood by being pressed against the inner walls of the opening by the airstream a soon the blower is operated.

The structural frame is made of inflatable rubber hoses (single chamber configuration) and waterproof canvas readily attached to and stretched by the hose frame when inflated.

NON-COLLAPSIBLE DUCTS

The spiral tubes for well-directed ventilation and extraction of cooled-down smoke, polluted air and gases are available for all fan sizes. By custom-made adapters and reducers, different sizes can be combined. The length can be individually selected up to 15m per tube and extended by connecting them with coupling bands to each other.

The non-collapsible ducts are available in three versions: antistatic (black), heat-resistant till 180°C/350°F (grey) and standard (yellow).

FOAM GENERATOR SYSTEM

The FlexiFoam system is ideal for operations when rooms have to be flooded or greater areas have to be covered with foam. The foam generation takes place directly at the location of the fire. Compared to conventional foam generators, there is no inefficient and self-destructive transport of ready foam to the fire area. In addition the FlexiFoam can operate directly in areas filled with smoke. The system is not using the ambient air, clean air for the foam generation is feeded through ducts by the power blower. Smoke will not affect the foam quality.

Once placed at the scene of fire there is no more personnel in the dangerous are needed for operation. Even when the FlexiFoam is completely covered with foam it produces continuously foam and protects itself from the flames. The air output of the power blower can be controlled by the engine / motor speed and thus the expansion ratio can be adjusted continuously.

5EXTINGUISHES FIRE FAST AND POWERFULLY

The FlexiFoam is connected with ventilation hoses (Ø 500 mm) to the power blower. The adaption to the power blower is done by a suitable duct reducer. The ventilation hoses are available in two temperature resistance classes. The grey spiral coiled hoses are temperature resistant up to 180°C and due to the inside cooling with fresh air allow the operation near the scene of the fire. The water foam-agent mixture is supplied through standard fire hoses and existing premix systems.

The foam is generated directly on the platform. The fresh air and the extinguishing agent are fed through hose lines placed on the ladder. Thereby it is possible to produce foam in greater heights or smoke-filled areas and flood the scene of fire directly from above.

FOAM GENERATOR SYSTEM

The foam generator system FlexiFoam is available in three sizes: M–L 2, M–L 4, M–L 4/8 for a flow rate (7 bar) of 200 l/min, 400 l /min or 800l/min.

PORTABLE SMOKE BLOCKER

The portable smoke blocker prevents smoke and heat from spreading inside the building. Escape routes for the residents and retreat ways for the fire fighters stay smoke-free. It is possible for the security backup to stay close to the attacking fire fighters. The time for the rescue operation in case of a breathing protection emergency is considerable reduced.

Dangerous situations through smoke and heat spread are effectively minimized or avoided. The portable smoke blocker allows controlling the inflow of air to the area of fire for directed and controlled ventilation. Smoke damages can clearly be reduced.

5EASY AND FAST INSTALLATION

With the easily operated tension lever the portable smoke blocker made out of heat resistant fabric can be installed quickly into a door or entrance opening. The door to the affected area can be opened now and the fire fighters can enter the room behind for their operations without the spread of smoke and heat in the building.

For the safe storage of the portable smoke blocker on fire trucks the model F for the Fire Service has additional leather reinforcements sewed to the fabric. The red carrying bag has also a shoulder strap. Bags with loops and straps are optional available to connect the smoke blocker to a hose basket.
